Orphans of God - A Calling to a New Ministry??

The other day I was speaking with one of our pastors and during the talk the topic of an adoption ministry within our church came up. We both feel that if God wants a ministry to start He will provide supporters but will also provide a champion to lead the ministry. This has been on my heart for a few days now and as I continue to pray I will look for ways God will answer that question. Tonight as I was blog surfing I came across this video. Three Years!!!

Well today marks three years that our dossier has been in China. We are less than one month away from meeting our precious daughter. Over the last three years I have often wondered where Darci is, how she is doing, etc. Since the wait has grown to three years, obviously she wasn't even born when we started this journey. I have found myself over the last few months wondering about her. Knowing that she is somewhere in China, hoping she is is warm, and protected. For so long when people would ask about Darci, my comment was always "she's still in China". It's so hard to believe that I will see her face in less than a month. WOW!!! This long journey is just about to come to an end and I am finding myself a little bewildered at the thought that my life is getting ready to change in so many ways. I am so ready and yet so NOT ready.


Today I was at a friends house and I saw this little guy and took a picture, I know this is just a little nugget from God saying your time is just around the corner and He sent this little reminder!!!

1 day left - We're NEXT

You have no idea (well some of you do) what is going on inside my mind and heart!! As I type this I am filled with all kinds of emotions. CC@@ has matched families with LID (Log In Date) through March 6, 2006. We are March 7. We will see our sweet Darci's face in about 35 days. WOW, do I have A LOT of things to do!!! Bedding to make, room to arrange, thorough cleaning of the house, well I guess it will all get done during Spring Break in a couple of weeks. Things will probably be very quite on here over the next few weeks, but rest assure when I get that call, you all will know!!!
